This recipe is from my grandmother's collection. I modified it by adding onions.
She probably used a river fish but I like the taste of Salmon with this curry.
5-6 slices of Indian Salmon
Salt
1 tsp turmeric
Marinate the fish in salt and turmeric. Heat 3 tbsp of sesame oil, fry the fish till light golden on both sides
Make a paste of:
1/4 cup of fresh coconut
1/4 cup peanuts (organic ones preferably)
2-3 green chilies
Curry:
1 onion, minced
Handful of fresh curry leaves
3-4 slivered green chilies
Heat the remaining oil, add some fresh curry leaves and the onion. Fry till golden. Next add the paste, a little water and arrange the fried fish. Add the chilies cover and cook for 3-4 mins.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with rice.
