Leftover idlis and noodle upma

 



If you don’t have idlis, use more of the rice noodles.

5-6 chopped idlis(steamed rice cakes)

1 cup of cooked rice noodles

1 tbsp oil

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

A pinch of asafoetida 

2-3 chopped green chilies 

1/2 onion, chopped 

2-3 tbsp crushed raw peanuts 

A few curry leaves

Salt and pepper 

Heat oil, add mustard seeds and asafoetida. Once the seeds splitter, add the peanuts, onions, chilies, curry leaves. Sauté for a minute, then add the remaining ingredients. Stir fry for a couple of minutes. You could also drizzle some lime juice if you like. Serve hot.
