Green onions and potatoes with poppyseeds.



A simple stirfry vegetable cooked with Bengali flavors. 

2 tbsp mustard oil or ghee
1/2 tsp Nigella seeds or Kalonji seeds
1 large potato, diced
2 cups of chopped up green onion or spring onions
1 tbsp poppy seeds
Salt
1/2 tsp turmeric pd
2 green chillies slit

Heat oil in a pan, add the nigella seeds. Next add potatoes, salt and turmeric pd. Cover and cook for 6-7 mins. Now add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook till the potatoes are cooked and the greens have softened. Serve with rice.
